Thanks for your interest in the 7th-9th grade mission trip to the Twin Cities! Here is some info about the trip:
Who: Current LOC 7th-9th grade youth + Awesome Adult Leaders
When: June 28 - July 1, 2026 (leaving after church on 6/28)
Where: Twin Cities, MN (staying at Luther Memorial Church in S. St. Paul)
What: A life-changing summer trip through
Service Learning Camps (SLC). We will serve 2 of the days (at a variety of local social-service agencies such as a soup kitchen or thrift store) and also have time for fellowship, worship and visiting sites we've maybe never been to in MN! Every trip is an amazing experience and we strongly believe it'll be life-changing for all who attend!
Spaces: We have 30 spaces reserved through SLC... we will see how many are interested. The trip is only open to LOC youth and adults.
Registration Deadline: Wed, 2/18/26 - Pay the $50 deposit to "LOC" (more info below) and complete this form to secure your spot.
Cost per Person: Approximately $275. See the info sheet for more details. We are hopeful that we will be able to cover the cost of each adult who attends.
Adult Leaders: Must be 21 years or older, be willing to help with fundraising efforts and attend fellowship events (as able), lead a small group of youth in discussion (along with other leadership areas on the trip) and be willing to have a multi-state background check conducted. Preference will be given to adults who have had experience with youth in past (on a previous trip, as a Guide, etc) and those who are young adults. We will strive to have a 1:6 adult-to-youth ratio and will have at least 1 leader of each gender.

Do you grant Light of Christ Lutheran Church the right to take photographs in connection with this trip? Do you authorize Light of Christ Lutheran Church to use such photographs for any lawful purpose, including, for example, appearing in print or online promoting Light of Christ's activities, promotional brochures, worship presentations, or Light of Christ's Facebook page? I further understand that if I give my permission, my child's name will not be used to identify my child. My permission will be kept on file in the church office (yearly), and if I would like to withdraw my permission, I may do so by contacting the church office.
I/we hereby release Light of Christ Lutheran Church, its employees, agents and volunteers, from any and all liability, claims, demands, causes of action and possible causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage or injury (including death) that may be sustained by my child or myself (name listed in this form) while participating in this trip and/or traveling to and from an event at Light of Christ.
I/we understand that personal injury or illness can and may occur to my child while in attendance at church sponsored events and I hereby authorize a representative of Light of Christ Lutheran Church to seek and consent to emergency medical treatment, dental care, surgery or hospitalization for my child as needed during the period of my/our absence; and I further agree to be liable for and to pay all costs incurred in connection with such medical/dental attention.
